SCA LECTURE SERIES

Each year, World of Coffee welcomes industry respected experts who inspire, educate, and motivate coffee professionals to reach for their goals and expand their coffee knowledge. Lecture presenters are carefully vetted experts who are highly enthusiastic about their area of expertise and have a strong desire to share that knowledge for the betterment of the industry. SCA Lectures are educational presentations given by respected experts who inspire, educate, and motivate coffee professionals. Lecturers and panelists should strive to help audience members expand their knowledge in one (or more) of the following key subject areas: business, science, or sustainability. The most popular lectures offer practical approaches to addressing challenges and opportunities faced by specialty coffee industry actors.

Proposals that demonstrate experience with, awareness of, and relevance to SCA trade show audiences will be given priority in the evaluation process. In recent years, the lecture program has become highly competitive – for example, in 2024 the association received more than 150 proposals for 24 lecture slots at World of Coffee Copenhagen – and sometimes proposals on interesting topics, with qualified speakers, get rejected because they do not align with the interests of the audience. Please scroll to the bottom of the page for examples of successful and popular lecture titles and descriptions from previous years.

Deadline: Monday, February 3, 2025
